Ingredients
For the filling
6 Cortland apples, peeled, seeded and sliced (Spartan or Empire apples are also perfect for cooking in a crumble)
1 bag (227g) of Organic Fresh Whole Cranberries
1 tablespoon (15 ml) of lemon juice
½ cup (105g) of brown sugar
¼ cup (60 ml) of honey
½ teaspoon (2.5 ml) of ground cinnamon
For the crumble
1 ¼ cup (125g) of old fashioned oat flakes
¼ cup (40g) of unbleached all-purpose flour
¼ cup (55g) of brown sugar
½ cup (125 ml) of unsalted butter, softened
Cooking time 45 minutes Portions 6 to 8

Preheat the oven to 350°F and place the grill to the lower position.

In a big bowl, mix all ingredients “for the filling” and place them in a square mould that goes in the oven. Set aside.

In another bowl, mix all ingredients “for the crumble”, then pour on the apple mix.

Cook in the oven for 45 minutes, then let rest for a minimum of 10 minutes before serving.
