Veggie Pâté Wrap and Cream Cheese Spread with Chives, Garlic and Dried Cranberries

Ingredients

One recipe of our Raw Cranberry and Maple Veggie Pâté, your favourite recipe or store-bought veggie pâté

 

For the Whipped Cream Cheese Spread with Chives, Garlic and Dried Cranberries

1 250-g package cream cheese, softened

60 ml (1/4 cup) 35% cream

Big handful of chives, finely chopped (about 3 to 4 tablespoons)

1 clove garlic, finely chopped

60 ml (1/4 cup) Patience Fruit & Co, Dried Sliced Cranberries, Sweetened with Apple Juice, finely chopped

Pepper and salt

 

To assemble

Pita bread, opened up, or tortilla (or other bread of your choice)

Fresh garnishes of your choice:

  • Microgreens
  • Lettuce
  • Arugula
  • Tomatoes, sliced
  • Red onion, sliced thin
  • Cucumber, sliced

The veggie pâté wrap is probably the most popular sandwich in the world. Add whipped cream cheese spread with chives, garlic and dried cranberries, and you take the wrap to a whole new level.

We suggest using tortillas or opened-up pita bread, just for a change.

By the way, this cream cheese spread is a versatile recipe on its own. Try it on a toasted bagel with smoked salmon (a classic!), as a dip with raw veggies, or add a giant dollop to pasta dishes.

Steps

  1. Slice veggie pâté 1 cm (1/2 in) thick. Set aside.

  2. For the Whipped Cream Cheese Spread with Chives, Garlic and Dried Cranberries
    Whisk cream cheese in a bowl. Add cream and beat until mixture is smooth. Add remaining ingredients and mix with a spatula. Set aside in the fridge

  3. To assemble:
    Spread pita bread or tortilla with a generous helping of Whipped Cream Cheese Spread. Add slice of veggie pâté and garnish with fresh toppings of your choice.
