35 g (1/4 cup) all-purpose flour
30 g (1/4 cup) breadcrumbs

30 ml (2 tablespoons) Montreal steak spice
30 ml (2 tablespoons) vegetable oil for frying

Bonus: our dried cranberries add a tangy-sweet touch you’ll love. Better yet, a slice of cheese on top of the patty makes a perfect sweet and salty combo. And if you’re headed out on a camping trip, they’re perfect – no refrigeration required!

Preheat oven to 200°C (425°F).

Reconstitute the TVP in vegetable broth or boiling water. Set aside to rest for 10 minutes. Drain any remaining liquid. Set aside.

Combine all ingredients for the patties in a big bowl. Form 4 patties.

Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Fry patties for 3 minutes on each side or until golden. Put the patties in the oven for about 20 minutes to finish cooking.
