Did you know that it’s easy to make your own sports hydration drink for a fraction of the price you’d pay at the grocery store? The whole point of these drinks, after all, is to make up for the fluids you lose when you sweat, and the energy and electrolytes you expend when you exercise.

Your body needs fuel that’s easily accessible when you engage in intense exercise, such as a long hike. In this case, sugar is your friend. Our sports drink also contains mineral salts (sodium and potassium), which you need for hydration and to compensate for sweating. Our tart cherry recipe gives you all of the above in a glass (or a bottle!).
