Mix water, sugar, cinnamon sticks and nutmeg in a large pan. Bring to a boil. Turn heat down to low and simmer for about 5 minutes.

Meanwhile, wash and peel the oranges, leaving orange peel in big pieces. Set aside.

Cut oranges in half and squeeze juice. Pour into the pan.

Poke cloves into pieces of orange peel. Add peel to the pan and simmer for 30 minutes.

Add wine and cranberry juice. Heat through.
Recommendations
