Hot Earl Grey tea with cranberry and orange (with or without alcohol)

750 ml (3 cups) water

125 ml (1/2 cup) sugar

3 Earl Gray tea bags

Organic 100% pure unsweetened cranberry juice, Patience Fruit & Co, to taste

1 to 2 sliced oranges, for garnish (optional)

Fresh mint, for garnish (optional)

This cranberry-orange Earl Grey tea is the best drink to stay warm on an outdoor weekend getaway. This fruity and spicy brew is perfect to pack in a large thermos and serve before, during or after your favourite winter activity.

 

To warm up your thermos, fill it with boiling hot water and put the lid on for a few minutes. After pouring out the hot water, pour in the hot Earl Grey tea and Patience Fruit & Co pure cranberry juice mixture. And you’re good to go!

Steps

  1. Boil water in a pot or kettle.

  2. In a bowl, mix 1/2 cup of water with the sugar until the sugar is completely dissolved. Chill.

  3. Pour the hot water into a pitcher (or a large thermos), add the tea and let it steep for 5 minutes. Remove the tea. Add the water and sugar mixture along with the cranberry juice.

  4. Pour the tea into glasses (or stainless-steel mugs) and garnish with orange slices and some mint.

Recommendations

For a fun version with alcohol, you can add 60 ml (1/4 cup) of Grand Marnier along with the cranberry juice…🍹
