Home-made Granola with Dried Fruit, Pecans and Dark Chocolate

Ingredients

Dry ingredient:

2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats

1 1/2 cups pecans, roughly chopped

1 cup organic rye flakes

1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon salt

 

Wet ingredients:

1/2 cup maple syrup

1/4 cup canola oil

 

Topping:

1/2 cup Patience Fruit & Co Fruit Blend – Dried Whole Cranberries, Wild Blueberries, Goldenberries & Tart Cherries

1/2 cup dark chocolate, broken into pieces

Preparation time 30 minutes
Cooking time 20 minutes Portions 8 portions

Steps

  1. Place rack in the middle of the oven. Preheat oven to 325 °F.

  2. Mix dry ingredients in a big bowl.

  3. Add maple syrup and oil and mix well.

  4. Spread mixture on a baking sheet.

  5. Bake for about 30 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes.

  6. Set aside to cool completely.

  7. Add dried fruit and chocolate.

  8. Store in airtight container.
