Ingredients

2 cups whole milk or plain unsweetened soy beverage

3/4 of a 3.35oz package of Patience Fruit & Co Dark Chocolate & Raspberry Chococrunch Bites

For the topping

The rest of the Chococrunch Bites, roughly chopped

Fresh raspberries

Dried edible rose petals (optional – see note)

Looking for a dessert soup that will be a big hit? Try this chocolate “soup,” which will add a playful touch to your Easter table.

To make the vegan version, use soy beverage or another plant-based milk. You can also use whole milk as the base. Whichever ingredients you choose, you’ll be thrilled to see how easy this is to make. All  you have to do is melt the Chococrunch Bites with the “milk” of your choice et voilà!  You can sprinkle the soup with the topping before serving, or set up a “topping bar” in the middle of the table and let everyone add their favourite fruit.

Steps

  1. Melt Chococrunch Bites with milk or soy beverage in a double boiler. Simmer for 10 minutes or until the mixture is smooth.

  2. Pour soup into serving bowls. Garnish with Chococrunch Bites, fresh raspberries and dried edible rose petals (optional). Serve immediately.

Recommendations

Dried rose petals are spectacular and add a gloriously aromatic touch to this dessert. Roses are often used in pastry-making to add their distinctive scent to cream, ice cream or chocolate-based desserts. You can buy dried rose petals at health-food stores or specialty spice stores.
