Mustard Salmon with Zesty Sunshine and Panko Crumble

Ingredients

For the salmon:
45 ml (3 tbsp) honey
45 ml (3 tbsp) Maison Orphée Organic Old-Fashioned Mustard
15 ml (1 tbsp) Maison Orphée Extra Virgin Olive Oil Delicate
675 g (1.5 lb) salmon fillet, cut into 4 portions
Salt and pepper

 

For the crumble:
15 ml (1 tbsp) butter
30 g (1/2 cup) panko crumbs
70 g (1/2 cup) Patience Fruit & Co Zesty Sunshine Artisan Blend, chopped finely using a knife or the food processor

Here’s a quick recipe you can also serve as an appetizer on a week night or for special occasions. Simply cut the salmon into bite size pieces before cooking it and serve it on a platter, topped with the ”crumble” just before serving.

Steps

  1. Set a rack in the middle position of the oven. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a bowl, combine the honey, mustard, and oil. Spread this mixture over the salmon fillets. Season with salt and pepper.

  3. Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet. Bake 12 to 15 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillets and the desired doneness. Set aside.

  4. While the salmon is baking, melt the butter in a nonstick pan. Add the panko crumbs and stir. Add the chopped Patience Fruit & Co Zesty Sunshine Artisan Blend. Cook for a few seconds more, then remove from the heat. Season to taste.

  5. Serve the salmon topped with the crumble.
