Chocolate Cake in a Jar (Serves Two)

Ingredients

3/4 cup milk

2 tbsp vegetable oil

2 tbsp Patience Fruit & Co Whole & Juicy Dried Cranberries, sweetened with apple juice

1/4 cup dark chocolate chips

10 tbsp all-purpose flour

2 tbsp cocoa powder

Pinch of baking powder

2 tbsp sugar

1 tsp pure vanilla extract

One jar, two spoons! Here’s the perfect Valentine’s Day dessert. Share the cake with your loved one when it’s still warm. It comes together in a snap, which means you’ll have more time to make the most of this very special night.

3/4 cup milk

2 tbsp vegetable oil

2 tbsp Patience Fruit & Co Whole & Juicy Dried Cranberries, sweetened with apple juice

1/4 cup dark chocolate chips

10 tbsp all-purpose flour

2 tbsp cocoa powder

Pinch of baking powder

2 tbsp sugar

1 tsp pure vanilla extract

Steps

  1. Place the milk, vegetable oil, cranberries, and chocolate chips in a 500 ml wide mouth Mason-type jar.

  2. Add the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix, using a fork, until you reach a smooth consistency.

  3. Cook in the microwave at the high powder setting for two minutes. Let cool for two minutes before serving.

Recommendations

You can also cook the cake in two separate portions by using two 2 cup jars and reducing the cooking time to 90 seconds. The recipe can also be doubled easily.
